Slacking of the tissue of lower and / or upper eyelids.

Some people get a time-dependent, increased atony of the tissue around the eye region. A general connective tissue-instability can be one reason for this.

Typical symptoms are: feelings of heaviness combined with strain, problems with tear drops -“watery eyes”, sleepy look.

Further discomfort of vision by restriction of the field of view, especially sideward and overhead, can develop.

As a therapy upper and lower eyelid can be corrected surgically.
